Event Photos: 18th December 2011 - Carol Service
On the 18th December we celebrated the start of the Christmas season with our own special Carol Service organised by Karen Wood. We sang several carols and other Christmassy songs such as Jingle Bells especially for the children. This was interspersed with some very interesting and entertaining talks from the members of Karen Wood's development class.
Towards the end of the evening everyone in the congregation came forward to light a candle in memory of loved ones in the spirit world. It was a very spiritual and moving experience. After the service we all enjoyed cups of tea, sausage rolls and mince pies. Our thanks to Karen for her superb organisation; everything went like clockwork.

Some of the H1 course members at the 4th Healing Review held at Croydon Church There are four reviews in total. Each one is conducted over a one-day period every six months over the duration of the course. All four healing reviews must be attended by the trainee in order to qualify.
The purpose of the reviews is to make sure that candidates have a good understanding of the written work they have submitted to their tutor and have fulfilled their duties in church.
For each review, four subjects are discussed with questions and answers which cover all aspects of knowledge, laws and protocols to be adhered to when healing in hospitals or elsewhere according to the Healing Code of Conduct.
During the one hundred weeks necessary for qualification as a healer, each trainee healer must complete at church twelve weeks reception and twelve weeks of setting out and clearing of the healing area under the supervision of the Healing Leader.
Croydon church is the review centre for many local and distant churches within the SNU, as the review must be conducted outside the trainee's resident church.
Molly McManus (President of Croydon Church) and Francis Cannon chaired the review. Other officers from Croydon Church assisted with administration. [Apologies for the fuzziness of the photo. There was no alcohol involved, it's simply that Clive, who kindly took the photos for us, was so excited at completing his final review that he couldn't keep the camera steady!]

President Shirley Homewood presents a long-service award to June Perry. June has served the Church for over 30 years, 11 of those as President. Well done, June and thank you! Words could never express how much we appreciate you.
Relaxing with a cup of tea after the close of the AGM.
Mug shot of Shirley caught off guard. Well it is thirsty work running a church, you know! Now then ... did somebody mention that there's a chocolate digestive knocking around somewhere with my name on it?

Now that's what I call and amethyst!! What a gem of an idea to give advice on how the energy of crystals can be used to soothe and heal.
And of course, gems make beautiful jewellery.
Is there something for the children too? Yes, indeed ... toys are definitely us!
Paul, there's no point in calling, "Roll up, roll up" for the tombola stall. We haven't opened yet!

Event photos:Arthur Findlay College.
On 1st May, we hired a coach and visited the Arthur Findlay College at Stansted, where we took part in a wide range of tutorials and witnessed the most amazing evidential demonstrations of mediumship. We were able to question Spirit Guides directly via the Trance Medium demonstrations and learn even more about 'the life beyond'. We had such a wonderful day that everyone said they would definitely go again next year.
